Today is Veteran's Day, and at Shepherd High School, like many other schools across our country, we honor our veteran's in an assembly. We say thank you to all who have served our country and we recognize the freedom we enjoy can only be maintained through the service and sacrifice of individuals who defend something bigger than themselves.
THANK YOU VETERANS! Strive for perfection and achieve excellence...
No human being is perfect. We have to focus on giving our very best effort and accepting the results. If the results are not what we hoped, then we need to evaluate our goals for the future, learn from the past, give our best effort in the present. Keep things in perspective and enjoy the challenges in life! Both Men's and Women's Shepherd Cross Country Teams will compete for state titles. Best wishes to the team!!
GO SHEPHERD! For those of you who watched the Michigan football game against Minnesota...
It seemed that the entire game was an uphill battle for the Wolverines. Several plays resulted in big gains for the Gophers, time and time again. Then with 19 seconds left the Gophers seemed to seal the game with a touchdown pass to take the lead away from Michigan. After a review of the touchdown the play was called down at the one foot line with Minnesota still inevitably going to win the game. Then Michigan stopped the Gophers on two straight plays to be victorious. I thought to myself, "Way to stay the course." You never know in life when moments of opportunity may present themselves, even when things seem like a constant uphill battle. STAY THE COURSE!! and GO BLUE!! |
