The Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization, plans to award 1,020 students scholarships of up to $2,500 each in career and technical programs in 2018.
To be eligible for these awards, students must be enrolled in a career or technical certificate/degree granting program in Fall 2018; attend an accredited, not-for-profit, post-secondary institution; have completed high school or the equivalency; demonstrate financial need (based on Pell-eligibility); be under the age of 30; and be a citizen of the United States.
Boards should send interested applicants to the Horatio Alger Online Application in order to complete an application.

ACCEPTING SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS! DUE APRIL 20TH.
The Home Builders Association of Saginaw would like to announce that they are prepared to award $7500.00 worth of scholarships to give students who are to begin or are continuing their education in the skilled trades.
It's that time of year again! Michigan Sugar Company is looking for its next Michigan Sugar Queen and Court.
Applications and full details of the program are available online at www.michigansugar.com/community/sugar-queen.
The program also provides a wonderful scholarship opportunity. After completing the requirements of the program, the Queen receives a $2,000 scholarship and court members each receive a $1,000 scholarship.
Applications are due Friday, April 27, with interviews scheduled to take place Saturday, May 19, in Bay City. A new Queen and two court members will be crowned at the Michigan Sugar Festival in Sebewaing this June.

Trustees - $12,500 per year/4 year scholarship High School CGPA of 3.9
Titanium - $6,000 per year/4 year scholarship High School CGPA of 3.75
Platinum - $4,000 per year/4 year scholarship High School CGPA of 3.5
Gold - $3,000 per year/4 year scholarship High School CGPA of 3.2
Silver - $2,000 per year/4 year scholarship High School CGPA of 2.7

One last request: If you know any student who is eligible for either of these two MUSIC scholarships, please encourage them to apply. We have not had a single submission and I am discouraged to think that this money will be left on the table.
